Maha sarakham: A Bhumjaithai Party parliamentary candidate in Maha Sarakham has refuted allegations of unusual wealth accumulation from temple funds, which were posted on a popular Facebook page.
According to Thai News Agency, the candidate, Mr. Rittirong Phumisawat, responded to the claims made by the CSI LA Facebook page. The page had raised suspicions and called for an investigation into Mr. Rittirong's alleged rapid wealth accumulation over a short period.
Mr. Rittirong defended his record by emphasizing his decade-long business operations and his two terms as a local councilor, asserting that his integrity is verifiable. He highlighted that his business dealings, which include owning shops and companies, are legitimate and his financial records are transparent through tax filings.
He dismissed the allegations as a political attack, using Facebook to clarify that the information circulating online is untrue. Mr. Rittirong reaffirmed his commitment to serving the public with integrity and urged the public to critically assess the information they receive.
In a move to counter the allegations, Mr. Rittirong filed a police report at the Mahasarakham City Police Station on December 30 as evidence of the falsehood of the claims.
