Samut prakan: Bhumjaithai Party's parliamentary candidates from Samut Prakan campaigned at Bang Nam Phueng Market. A female vendor said she no longer wanted the 10,000 baht payment and demanded the 2,400 baht. Anutin Charnvirakul declared, "It's easy! The 'Half-Price Plus' scheme will definitely return if we form a government."
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, visited Bang Nam Phueng Market to campaign for the party's eight parliamentary candidates in Samut Prakan province. These candidates are: Ms. Praewphan Pukpibul (District 1), Mr. Nokkao Thuamklat (District 2), Ms. Apasnan Paknarathanaset (District 3), Ms. Pimphan Phuengboon (District 4), Ms. Yukolchat Lamwanna (District 5), Mr. Thapakorn Kulcharoen (District 6), Ms. Pailin Thiansuwan (District 7), and Mr. Wiboonchai Khaothongborisut (District 8).
Upon arriving at Wat Bang Nam Phung Nai, Mr. Anutin presented himself with a replica of the Luang Pho Yai Buddha statue. He then paid respects to Thao Wessuwan before proceeding into the market to meet with vendors and shoppers. Many people requested photos with him. Vendors inquired about the "Half-Price" co-payment scheme and expressed their desire for its continuation. Some even said they wanted the 2,400 baht subsidy instead of the 10,000 baht, to which Mr. Anutin responded, "It's easy! If I'm in government, this scheme will definitely return." A vendor also wished Mr. Anutin success in becoming Prime Minister again, saying it would improve the lives of the people, to which he smiled. During his walk through the market, some people approached Mr. Anutin asking him not to reopen the border checkpoints, to which he assured them he would not.
Mr. Anutin also sampled food from several stalls and purchased goods within Bang Nam Phueng Market. He stopped to feed the koi fish. At one point, a vendor selling starfruit asked Mr. Anutin if he was tired, to which he replied that he wasn't tired but a little sleepy because he hadn't slept much. The vendor then offered him some starfruit to eat, saying it would wake him up. The atmosphere was lively.
