Yotsanan Rallies in Chiang Rai, Promises Comprehensive Policies for Northern Thailand

Chiang rai: Yotsanan Wongsawat, a prime ministerial candidate for the Pheu Thai Party, continued his northern Thailand campaign tour with a rally in Amphoe Thoeng, Chiang Rai Province. The event was part of his final day of campaigning in the region, which has been ongoing since January 29, 2026.

According to Thai News Agency, the rally was held at Plong Wittayakom School to support Mr. Therdchat Chaipong, a candidate for Member of Parliament in Chiang Rai Constituency 5. The event attracted significant public attention, with attendees presenting gifts such as marigold garlands, cocoa products, and potted plants. In his speech, Mr. Yotsanan emphasized the importance of electing a Northerner who can effectively communicate with and serve the local population. He outlined his plans to address key issues, including debt resolution, agricultural support, and international market access for local products.

Yotsanan also highlighted his commitment to improving infrastructure and promoting tourism in highland areas. He promised to use satellite technology for security monitoring and to implement a digital government system to manage these efforts. Additionally, he pledged to address water management challenges and improve healthcare access with AI-enhanced policies.

Mr. Nattawut Saikua, a campaign assistant for the Pheu Thai Party, also addressed the crowd, stressing the importance of electing a party with proven achievements. He criticized the current government structure and urged voters to support candidates with tangible policy proposals. Mr. Nattawut defended the Pheu Thai Party's "One Millionaire a Day" policy, clarifying that it aims to generate revenue through increased tax participation rather than being a mere giveaway.

Both Yotsanan and Nattawut called on the people of Chiang Rai to support the Pheu Thai Party's candidates, emphasizing the party's history of concrete accomplishments and commitment to the region's development.
