Sisaket: Bhumjaithai Party organized a significant rally in Sisaket, where tensions with the Pheu Thai Party were evident. "Siripong" appealed for a chance to serve the country, referencing the villagers' preference for the 10,000 baht cash handout policy, and urged people not to be misled repeatedly. He highlighted Anutin Charnvirakul and the government's achievements in addressing rice prices and the Thai-Cambodian border issue.
According to Thai News Agency, the rally took place at the multipurpose area of the Sports Authority of Thailand in Sisaket Province. It aimed to support Mr. Siriphong Angkasakulkiat, the Bhumjaithai Party's candidate for Member of Parliament in Sisaket Constituency 1, and Mr. Suphakit Sihapark, the candidate for Constituency 2. The event attracted over 6,000 attendees eager to hear the speeches, with Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, scheduled to speak at 11:00 AM.
Mr. Siriphong began his speech at 10:00 AM by inviting his wife on stage, following advice from a monk. His wife briefly appealed to the people of Sisaket to elect her husband. Mr. Siriphong expressed concern over the lost opportunities in Sisaket over the past two years and asked for another chance to represent the people. He apologized for past policy failures, particularly regarding cannabis, clarifying that its use is now solely for medical purposes.
Mr. Siriphong criticized the previous election's focus on the 10,000 baht cash handout, questioning its actual delivery and criticizing current grand promises. He expressed skepticism about policies involving discounts and freebies, emphasizing the need for genuine offers. Mr. Siriphong also reacted to speeches by other party leaders, urging citizens not to be swayed by change.
Additionally, Mr. Siriphong presented a music video to encourage soldiers and shared plans for another event to stimulate the local economy. He addressed criticism of the Bhumjaithai Party's "Half-Price Plus" policy, likening it to an Ultraman move, and defended its effectiveness.
Mr. Siriphong highlighted the successful implementation of rice price reduction measures and the resolution of the Thai-Cambodian border dispute, praising Prime Minister Anutin's firm stance. He questioned the credibility of Cambodia's ceasefire declaration, aligning with audience skepticism, and implied that the people had already determined their preferred Prime Minister to challenge Hun Sen.
The Bhumjaithai Party's rally was located just 2 kilometers away from the main rally point of the Pheu Thai Party, held at the Sisaket United training ground.
