Brutal driver arrested for murdering Lao woman and hiding her body in cassava plantation

Uthai Thani, 22 Oct – Police take a brutal driver to the scene where he strangled his Laotian girlfriend and buried her body in a cassava plantation in Uthai Thani Province. He has been charged with two counts: intentional murder and concealment of a corpse.

This afternoon (October 22), Lansak Police Station in Uthai Thani Province took Mr. Sangwien, 52, the brutal van driver, to identify the location and reenact the crime scene in a cassava plantation. Mr. Sangwien briefly stated that he felt sorry for his actions and wanted to apologize to the deceased.

The commander of Uthai Thani Provincial Police gave additional information that the incident was in line with previous information, in which the suspect confessed. The motive was that the deceased tried to introduce himself to the man’s family, but the man was afraid that his family would find out, so they argued in the van before accidentally strangling the deceased to death.
