Businesswoman files complaint against famous lawyer for ‘fraud’, embezzles 71 million

Businesswoman, former client of famous lawyer, reported to police that famous lawyer defrauded her of 71 million baht, revealing that she was tricked into investing in an ‘online lottery’ platform.

A source revealed to ‘Manager Daily’ that recently, Ms. Chatuphol (assumed name), a businesswoman with businesses abroad and in Thailand, as the victim, gave her lawyer power of attorney to file a complaint at Pak Chong Police Station, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, by accusing the famous lawyer of ‘fraud.’

The behavior of the famous lawyer began when the victim hired the said lawyer’s company as a legal advisor to take care of business interests, with a contract of 300,000 baht per month. After hiring each other, they visited each other and took care of each other as friends, until they trusted and believed in the said lawyer and his wife.

Later, at the end of 2022 and the beginning of 2023, the said lawyer came to tell the victim that he had received a quota of government lottery tickets from a respected elder t
o sell online. The victim thought that the said project was possible and was in line with the victim’s intention to invest in something for his son, so he agreed to do the online lottery and had the said lawyer contact and hire a programmer to make a contract.

The lawyer opened a bank account in his own name to transfer money from the victim’s account to his account, totaling more than 71 million baht. After paying the programming fee, the victim followed up on the progress of the online lottery program purchase, but was told that it was not yet complete. This was one of the reasons why the victim later terminated the contract with the lawyer’s company, with a letter of termination of the consultant contract dated January 25, 2024.

Until September 1, 2024, which was the due date for delivery of the work according to the contract, the injured party had not yet received a response or received the program system according to the contract. Therefore, on September 8, 2024, the injured party gave the lawyer the p
ower of attorney to follow up and demand the 71 million baht back from the said lawyer, but the money was not returned to the injured party and he did not contact them back. Therefore, the lawyer was given the power of attorney to file a complaint with the investigator to prosecute the said lawyer to the fullest extent of the law.

The famous lawyer recently posted on Facebook that ‘Brother Sonthi’ reported that I had defrauded 71 million baht. Let’s bet on who will get a disfigured face after drinking 71 glasses of piss.
