Cabinet Approves Transfer of High-Level Officials in Justice Ministry

Bangkok: The Cabinet has approved the transfer of Piyasiri Wattanavarangkul, Secretary-General of the Southern Border Provinces Administrative Center (SBPC), to the position of Permanent Secretary of Justice. Additionally, Pongsawat Neelayothin has been moved to the position of Advisor to the Prime Minister for Civil Servants.

According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Lalida Periswiwatana, Deputy Spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, disclosed that the Cabinet meeting resolved to transfer a senior civil servant who has completed four years in a high-level administrative position to another duty. The Prime Minister's Secretariat proposed the transfer of Ms. Pongsawat Neelayothin, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Justice, to the position of Advisor to the Prime Minister for Civil Servants within the Prime Minister's Office.

The transfers will be effective from the date of the royal appointment, with both parties authorized to make appointments having agreed to the transfer, and the Prime Minister having reviewed and approved it. This decision illustrates a strategic reshuffling within high-level government positions.

Furthermore, the Cabinet meeting approved a proposal by the Ministry of Justice to transfer Mr. Piyasiri Wattanavarangkul to the position of Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Justice. The appointment is effective from the date of the royal approval. Deputy Prime Minister Sihasak Phuangketkaew, overseeing the administration of the Southern Border Provinces Administrative Center, has endorsed this transfer, with agreement from both appointing authorities.
