Cabinet Secretary Prepares Documents on Thammanat’s Appointment Qualifications

Bangkok: The Cabinet Secretary is preparing to submit documents to clarify the qualifications surrounding the appointment of Thammanat Charnvirakul as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives. This action comes in response to Lawyer Aun Buriram's preparations to file a complaint with the Ombudsman against Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul regarding this appointment.

According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Natthacharee Anantasilsin, Secretary-General of the Cabinet, addressed the situation involving Mr. Patarapong Supakorn, also known as Lawyer Aun Buriram. Mr. Supakorn is planning to request the Ombudsman to investigate the qualifications of Captain Thamanat Promphao, alleging that he may not meet the requirements for a ministerial role. Ms. Natthacharee confirmed that a qualification check has already taken place, and further clarification will be provided as necessary.

Ms. Natthajaree also mentioned that if the Ombudsman requires additional documentation, the Cabinet is prepared to submit further clarifying documents to support their case.
