Chaiwut Urges Quick Economic Revival and Political Stability Amid New Year Greetings

Bangkok: Mr. Chaiwut Thanakamanusorn, the leader of the Rak Chart Party, has extended his Chinese New Year greetings while urging the "Government of the Golden Rat" to prioritize economic recovery, tackle corruption, and expedite the certification of Members of Parliament (MPs) to restore public trust and enable the swift election of a new Prime Minister.

According to Thai News Agency, Chaiwut emphasized the need for the government to act promptly in implementing economic stimulus policies promised during the election campaign, in order to generate income for citizens and improve the economy.

Chaiwut expressed his hopes for a prosperous Year of the Golden Horse, pointing out that political indicators suggest Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, is poised to become the new leader of Thailand. He urged the government to combat corruption decisively, noting that it has been an enduring issue in Thai politics. Chaiwut stressed that addressing corruption would lead to a strong and stable government that would be resistant to being overthrown.

He also highlighted the importance of the Election Commission certifying election results without delay, so that the House of Representatives can convene to elect the Speaker and subsequently vote on the Prime Minister. Chaiwut believes that once the Speaker is appointed by royal decree, the new government can fully assume its responsibilities. He called for the swift resolution of any election-related issues, including allegations of fraud or violations, to restore public confidence and ensure the timely conclusion of the election process.
