China Executes 11 Members of Ming Family for Scamming Operations

Beijing: China executed 11 scammers from the Ming family of Laokai. China's official Xinhua news agency reported today that Chinese authorities have executed 11 criminals following death sentences handed down by a court in Zhejiang province since September.

According to Thai News Agency, although Xinhua did not provide details about these criminals, images from the trial and confirmation from several media outlets indicate they are members of the Ming family, one of the influential families that established a scamming gang in Laukhay, northern Shan State, Myanmar, before it was suppressed. The operation led to the rescue of hundreds of thousands of victims. Subsequently, China increased cooperation with Thailand, Myanmar, and Cambodia to dismantle the widespread scamming networks in the region, resulting in the deportation of tens of thousands of suspects back to China.
