CKPower Sees Significant Growth in Operating Results Amid Favorable Conditions

Bangkok: CKPower announced that its and its subsidiaries’ operating results for the third quarter of 2025 and the first nine months of 2025 continued strong growth, benefiting from seasonal factors and a lower policy interest rate, which positively impacted the business.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Thanawat Trivisvavet, Managing Director of CK Power Public Company Limited (CKPower), revealed the operating results of the company and its subsidiaries for the third quarter of 2025 and the first nine months of 2025. He stated that CKPower demonstrated strong performance and continued growth from the first half of the year, with net operating profits for the third quarter and the first nine months amounting to 1,227 million baht and 1,643 million baht, representing increases of 641 million baht and 1,151 million baht, or 110 percent and 234 percent, respectively, from the same period last year.

A key factor contributing to the company’s performance was the appropriate water flow through the Xayaburi Hydroelectric Power Plant, enabling it to generate electricity without interruption throughout the first nine months of 2025. This resulted in a 27% increase in electricity sales to Xayaburi Power Company Limited (XPCL) during the first nine months compared to the same period last year. Coupled with the decline in XPCL’s financial costs in line with global interest rates, the company recognized a share of XPCL’s net profit in the third quarter and the first nine months of 904 million baht and 1,125 million baht, respectively, representing increases of 536 million baht and 1,110 million baht.

Furthermore, revenue from electricity sales to Nam Ngum 2 Power Company Limited (NN2) increased due to increased water inflows into the reservoir during the first nine months compared to the previous year. July 2025 saw the highest water inflow since commercial operation began, resulting in a 26% increase in electricity sales compared to the previous year.

The trend of interest rate cuts in the United States and Thailand is expected to reduce financial costs and support CKPower’s performance in 2026. Meanwhile, the Luang Prabang Hydroelectric Project’s construction progress as of the end of September 2025 was 59 percent, in line with plan.

CKPower remains committed to driving growth through renewable energy development and enhancing energy security. The company is committed to contributing to Thailand’s transition to a low-carbon society by developing a stable and robust energy infrastructure. It also supports innovations to reduce energy consumption and increase efficiency in power generation, as well as raises awareness of energy conservation throughout the organization’s value chain, advancing the goal of achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.
