The awarded projects reflect CKPower's strategic initiatives:
1. The waste and wastewater management project at Bang Pa-in Cogeneration Power Plant optimizes water resource management and reduces waste through enhanced lubricating oil system management and improved water reuse efficiency. This initiative has conserved over 743 million liters of water and reduced greenhouse gas emissions by more than 95,000 kilograms of carbon dioxide equivalent, alongside significant financial savings.
2. The Waste to Value Firefly Project at the Xayaburi Hydropower Plant transforms organic waste into soil conditioner, promoting eco-friendly agriculture and environmental education. This project has cut carbon dioxide emissions by over 3,840 kilograms and provided substantial savings in fertilizer costs for local communities.
Mr. Thanawat highlighted that these awards validate CKPower's capabilities and commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions through technological and knowledge development. The company aims for net-zero emissions by 2050, fostering energy conservation and environmental protection throughout its operations.
