Bangkok: The Meteorological Department reports that northern Thailand will experience cool to cold weather with strong winds. Temperatures in the Northeast will drop by 2-4 degrees Celsius, while temperatures in the North, Central regions including Bangkok and its surrounding areas, the East, and the upper South will decrease by 1-3 degrees Celsius.
According to Thai News Agency, the Meteorological Department forecasts that over the next 24 hours, upper Thailand will experience cool to cold weather with strong winds. This is attributed to a relatively strong new high-pressure system or cold air mass from China spreading over upper Thailand and upper South. People in these areas are advised to take care of their health due to the colder weather and to be cautious of fire hazards due to dry and windy conditions.
For the lower southern region, scattered thunderstorms are expected due to the strengthening northeast monsoon covering the Gulf of Thailand, the southern region, and the Andaman Sea. Wave conditions in the Gulf of Thailand and the Andaman Sea will also intensify. Waves in the lower Gulf of Thailand will be approximately 2 meters high, while those in the upper Gulf of Thailand and offshore the Andaman Sea will be 1-2 meters high. In areas with thunderstorms, waves may exceed 2 meters. Mariners in these areas are advised to exercise caution and avoid sailing in areas with thunderstorms. People living along the lower eastern coast of the southern region should also be aware of strong waves crashing ashore during this period.
Currently, Thailand is experiencing a moderate level of particulate matter/haze accumulation due to good ventilation.
Weather forecast for Thailand from 6:00 AM today to 6:00 AM tomorrow indicates varying temperatures and conditions across different regions. In Northern Thailand, cool to cold weather with morning fog is expected. Northeastern Thailand will experience strong winds with a significant drop in temperature. Central and Eastern Thailand will also see a temperature decrease with cool morning weather and strong winds. The Southern Region, particularly the lower part of the east coast, may experience thunderstorms, while the west coast has a slight chance of thunderstorms. Bangkok and its surrounding areas will have cool weather in the morning with a slight temperature drop.
