Atlanta: Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, once a staunch supporter of former President Donald Trump, has accused him of endangering her life after his recent social media posts criticizing her led to a torrent of threats.

According to Thai News Agency, Georgia Rep. Greene revealed that the threatening messages and convictions of several men were a result of the offensive language she once used, now being directed at her by Trump. She shared that the threats began after Trump launched a series of social media attacks on Friday evening, labeling her a “lunatic” and a “madman” for expressing frustration over his unreturned calls.

Greene responded by accusing Trump of lying and attempting to intimidate Republican lawmakers ahead of an upcoming House vote concerning the release of documents on Jeffrey Epstein, the convicted sex trafficker with past ties to Trump. The former president intensified his attacks with additional posts on Saturday, calling Greene a “flaky congresswoman,” a “traitor,” and a “disgrace” to the Republican Party.

Greene, who has predominantly backed Trump’s policies, expressed her shock at his aggressive behavior, which she claims has emboldened his internet supporters to act viciously. Her involvement with Democrats in pushing for the disclosure of the Justice Department’s files on Epstein has positioned her at odds with Trump, who suggested that voters in Greene’s district should consider alternative candidates, hinting at his support for a challenger in the forthcoming midterm elections.
