The Criminal Court allowed the Consumer Protection Police Division investigators to detain 18 executives of The Icon Group Company Limited on charges of ‘jointly defrauding the public and jointly, fraudulently or deceitfully, importing distorted or forged information, in whole or in part, or false computer data into the computer system in a manner that is likely to cause damage to the public.’ The Criminal Court did not allow bail for all of them. The Corrections Department officers therefore took them to the Bangkok Special Prison and the Central Women’s Correctional Institution.

On October 18, 2024, the Department of Corrections accepted the remaining suspect, Mr. Rattanapol Woratworakul or Boss Paul, into the custody of the Bangkok Special Prison. All 18 can meet with lawyers and investigators online. If relatives wish to visit, they must wait until the quarantine period of 5 days is complete. If no infection is found, they can then coordinate to register for a visit.
