Khon kaen: Mr. Wattana Changlao, former President of the Khon Kaen Provincial Administrative Organization (PAO), has announced his candidacy for the position of chairman once again following a favorable court ruling. The Court of Appeals Region 4 has ordered a new election for the Khon Kaen PAO president, stating that there was no admissible evidence to prove Wattana's involvement in any wrongdoing, including vote buying. He expressed his gratitude to the court for restoring his innocence and providing justice.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Wattana Changlao emphasized the importance of respecting the court's decision for a new election. He noted that although the vote difference between him and the second-place candidate was small, opting for a recount could lead to controversies and harm the reputation of Khon Kaen province.

Wattana declared his intention to run for another term as President of the Khon Kaen PAO, with a commitment to safeguarding the dignity of the people of Khon Kaen. He aims to continue the work initiated during his previous tenure, which includes various Mega Projects at both provincial and district levels, as well as smaller projects at sub-district and village levels. He stressed the necessity of ensuring these projects do not stall and that there are no gaps during the transition period, stating that the challenges faced by the people of Khon Kaen cannot be delayed.
