Bangkok: New opportunities arise, promoting the concept of a cultural street and street food area to attract tourism and generate income. A sustainable solution to the PM2.5 problem is also proposed, emphasizing the slogan "With us, there will be no darkness, only light."
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Jatuporn Buruspat, Prime Minister candidate and leader of the Opportunity Party, along with Dr. Anusree Thapsuwan, deputy party leader, campaigned in Bangkok's District 1, specifically in the Yaowarat area. They met with Thai people of Chinese descent, vendors, and tourists visiting Yaowarat, presenting ideas to promote the area as a cultural street with delicious food to attract tourism and generate income for Thai people. They also offered encouragement to vendors as the Chinese New Year approaches.
Mr. Jatuporn stated that Thai politics today needs a shift in mindset from addressing immediate problems to creating long-term opportunities for the people, especially in terms of income, employment, and access to modern technology. Previously, only certain groups had access to these opportunities. Therefore, the New Opportunity Party aims to push for policies that are practical and achievable. Regarding the PM2.5 dust pollution, a major problem for Bangkok residents, the New Opportunity Party has policies to solve it sustainably by mandating the conversion of internal combustion engine vehicles to electric vehicles, especially government vehicles, and encouraging the public to use public transportation more. Additionally, there are measures to reduce open burning, discourage the purchase of products resulting from burning, and reduce the use of long incense sticks, replacing them with shorter ones. He emphasized that solving all these problems requires cooperation from all parties.
While Mr. Thankun believes that the party's policies will improve the quality of life for Thai people, the party will adopt a management-led approach to politics and work according to the slogan "With us, there will be no darkness." This means that darkness will not only be gray or black, but even the light of darkness will disappear, leaving only light and prosperity. This trip to pay respects at sacred sites in Yaowarat marks the beginning of a new era, opening the gates of heaven, where the New Opportunity Party will bring good things to Thailand.
