Cybercrime victim statistics show that most victims are working-age women.

Bangkok, Police reveal statistics on cyber crime victims, more than 2 out of 3 are women, most of whom are working age. Pol. Lt. Gen. Sirawat Deepo, deputy spokesman of the Royal Thai Police, said that Pol. Gen. Torsak Sukwimol, the national police chief, is concerned about the public who may be damaged by various forms of crime, especially cyber crime. According to statistics on online complaints for technology crimes from March 1, 2022 to June 30, 2024, there were 575,507 complaints filed through the online complaint system, with a total damage value of over 65,715 million baht, or an average of over 80 million baht in damages per day. From the statistics, the Royal Thai Police also found that most victims of cyber crimes, 64 percent, are women and 36 percent are men, most of whom are working-age.
