Democrat Party Leader Exposes Alleged Vote-Buying Scheme in Nakhon Si Thammarat

Nakhon si thammarat: "Chai???," deputy leader of the Democrat Party, revealed a vote-buying scheme in Nakhon Si Thammarat. Chaichana, deputy leader of the Democrat Party in Southern Thailand, exposed a vote-buying operation in Nakhon Si Thammarat and pressed the Election Commission to respond to the fact that arrests were made but the matter has been kept quiet. According to Thai News Agency, Chai Dechdecho, deputy leader of the Democrat Party in Southern Thailand, revealed that vote buying in Nakhon Si Thammarat this election was unprecedented. He stated that he apprehended a perpetrator in Constituency 4, along with evidence of a 1,000-baht banknote being used in the vote-buying process, and immediately contacted the Nakhon Si Thammarat Election Commission. However, to date, the matter has gone silent with no action taken, despite the clear evidence. He urged both the central and Nakhon Si Thammarat Election Commissions to clarify the situation to ensure transparency in the election. Regarding the overall results of the constituency-based parliamentary elections in the South, Mr. Chaichana stated that he was satisfied, even though the Democrat Party only managed to secure 9 seats in 4 provinces amidst fierce competition. The provinces with the most seats were Nakhon Si Thammarat (4), followed by Songkhla (2), Trang (2), and Surat Thani (1). This was despite the candidates having only 4 months to prepare. He believes that if the party's candidates had more preparation time, they would have had a much better chance of winning. However, lessons must be learned from the provinces where we missed out on seats. Regarding Nakhon Si Thammarat, although we only secured four seats, it's considered a result of our target. We had stated from the beginning that Nakhon Si Thammarat had problems with confusing electoral district boundaries, which I disagreed with from the start. For example, Ron Phibun district alone was divided into two districts, making it difficult for candidates to work. Nevertheless, thank you to all t he voters who chose the Democrat Party. I promise to diligently serve the people, regardless of which side I am on.
