Democrat Party’s Campaign in Bangkok Sees Enthusiastic Support

Bangkok: Abhisit Vejjajiva and Sakoltee Phatthiyakul, representing the Democrat Party, express satisfaction with the party's reception among Bangkok residents as they continue their campaign efforts.

According to Thai News Agency, Abhisit, the party's number one prime ministerial candidate, alongside Sakoltee, deputy leader overseeing Bangkok, has been actively engaging with citizens across all 33 districts for 11 consecutive days. This campaign, under the banner "Bangkok New Horizon," has witnessed a warm and enthusiastic reception from the public.

Sakoltee noted the positive response from residents, emphasizing their joy and support for the return of party leader Abhisit. The citizens' cheers and encouragement for the Democrat Party to persevere in the upcoming election have reinvigorated the party members and their resolve to improve governance.

He further remarked on the increasing support from both long-standing and new supporters, which has provided additional energy to the party's campaign efforts. Sakoltee assured the public that the Democrat Party's policies are designed to meet the needs of all citizens.

The Democrat Party's policies include reducing personal income tax through increased deductions, a provincial savings lottery benefiting 77 million people, a joint train and bus ticket system with fare rates based on distance, free education, an education buffet allowing students flexibility in their learning, and housing funds ensuring free lifetime housing for the elderly.

During their campaign, Abhisit and Sakoltee visited Constituency 6, focusing on Phaya Thai and Din Daeng districts, and interacted with locals at the Sri Din Daeng Market. They planned to continue their outreach in Constituency 25, covering Thung Khru and Rat Burana districts, engaging with residents and vendors at the Thung Khru New Market and Ying Ruay 76 Market.
