Bang saen: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, Suchart Chomklin, recently spoke about his campaign visit to Chonburi province as part of the Bhumjaithai Party.
According to Thai News Agency, Suchart stated that during his campaign at Bang Saen market, residents expressed a strong demand for the continuation of the "Half-Price Plus" Phase 2 project. He emphasized that although the government had prepared for its implementation, the dissolution of parliament resulted in a delay. He assured that the government intends to proceed with the project if Anutin Charnvirakul becomes Prime Minister, allowing for continuity of the initiatives started by the previous administration.
Suchart also addressed inquiries about his candidacy, asserting that he is running to demonstrate the importance of electing tangible and reliable representatives. Reflecting on his 20-year political career, he believes he has made significant contributions to the public. While he did not guarantee immediate approval for the "Half-Price Plus Phase 2" scheme, he assured that ongoing projects will be maintained if his party is re-elected. He noted the villagers' appreciation for the Prime Minister's commitment and decisive actions over the past months.
Addressing potential collaboration with Mr. Sonthaya Khunpluem and its impact on Bhumjaithai's electoral prospects in Loei province, Suchart refrained from making overly confident predictions. He clarified that despite previous political competition, he and Mr. Sonthaya share a common political language and are now focused on unified collaboration. Suchart emphasized that they are not adversaries from different political factions but rather partners prioritizing the province's development. He encouraged confidence in Chonburi's unity and urged the public to await the election results on February 8th.
