Deputy Minister of Interior Orders Mobilization for Recovery as Hat Yai Flood Waters Recede

Hat yai: The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior revealed that the flooding in Hat Yai has receded. He has ordered the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation and the local administrative sector to mobilize all sectors to expedite the restoration of normalcy as quickly as possible.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Arsit Sampantharat, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, unveiled the management strategy for the flood situation in Hat Yai District, Songkhla Province. All sectors have responded to the royal message of concern and have been instructed to mobilize forces to aid those affected. The Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, has directed military, administrative, and police agencies to assist citizens in safe shelters and to coordinate recovery efforts.

“We have now received reports that the water level in the area is gradually decreasing, and we are entering the recovery process by mobilizing all sectors, including the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation, the local government, Territorial Defense Volunteer Corps officers, and military units. We are mobilizing all sectors to expedite assistance to residents by cleaning their homes and roads, restoring them to normal conditions as quickly as possible, and expediting relief efforts in accordance with regulations and government-approved criteria,” said the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior.
