Nan: Yotchanan visited the area to oversee the restoration efforts in Nan on the second day, revealing that the clearing of mud, debris, and garbage is over 70% complete. He ordered accelerated road and access point repairs to facilitate traffic for the public.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Yotsanun Wongsawat, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), in his capacity as chairman of the committee on flood and drought prevention and mitigation in the northern region, traveled to Ban Hia, the first stop of the day, during his field visit to expedite and monitor the recovery efforts in Nan Province after the floods and landslides.

Mr. Yotsanan inspected and monitored the progress of the area clearing, as today the restoration and clearing of mud and debris accumulated in the flooded area has been completed by more than 70%. Mr. Yotsanan inquired about and encouraged the villagers, and also visited Mr. Jai Ummee, a 78-year-old man who appeared in a previous news clip sweeping mud.

They spoke in the Northern Thai dialect, offering encouragement to overcome this crisis. They stated that government and local agencies are currently accelerating recovery and rehabilitation efforts, and today they were checking on the progress and how much of life has returned to normal.

Then, Mr. Yotsanan traveled to the bridge over the Koon River to inspect the site of "Auntie Kalong's" house, which had been completely destroyed by the floodwaters and mudslides. The Deputy Prime Minister spoke with her, offering encouragement and saying he had brought good news in person, along with the Governor of Nan Province. He then showed her a 3D model of the new house that would be built for Auntie Kalong, designed as a raised house for safety. Upon seeing the house design, Auntie Kalong was overcome with emotion and tearfully thanked him with a gesture of respect. Mr. Yotsanan then embraced her to offer encouragement.

Mr. Yotsanan explained in the Northern Thai dialect and assured Aunt Kalong that, "Here's an update. We have this house design ready. The money for the house construction is divided into two parts: one part will be covered by the province, and another part has been handled by the Prime Minister's office. We'll take care of the remaining amount later. There's no problem. The officials have already prepared the design. We just need to calculate the budget. The governor and other officials are handling this. Rest assured, you will definitely have a house. Be confident. It will provide shelter from the sun and rain. Relevant parties will come to inspect the progress." Aunt Kalong stated that she is currently staying with relatives temporarily after her entire house was lost.

Mr. Yotsanan also instructed the province and local administrative organizations to quickly clear debris, logs, and waste from waterways, as well as repair roads and connecting routes to facilitate normal public transportation. He stated that local agencies, including the Royal Irrigation Department, the Provincial Administrative Organization, and the municipalities, have sufficient resources to expedite the completion of this matter.
