Bangkok: Deputy Prime Minister Sopon Saram has introduced a comprehensive policy focused on the Land Bank, with the aim of redistributing land ownership and providing assistance to impoverished and disadvantaged farmers.
According to Thai News Agency, on November 10, 2025, Mr. Sopon Saram, responsible for overseeing the Land Bank Management Institute (Public Organization), outlined the operational policy for the “Land Bank.” The event was attended by Police General Chalermkiat Srivorakhan, Chairman of the Land Bank Board, Mr. Chamnong Noophan, a representative of the Community Organization Ratio Board, and Mr. Phulphatchara Phumjai-ud, Director of the Land Bank, along with other executives and board representatives. The meeting took place on the 4th floor of the Administration Building at Government House.
Mr. Sopon highlighted that the Land Bank executives presented their performance from 2016 to 2025. The organization has played a vital role in helping citizens by distributing land ownership across an area exceeding 7,256 rai, thereby enabling 1,816 poor and disadvantaged agricultural households to gain ownership of farmland.
