Bangkok: Dr. Jun, a 35-year-old veterinarian with exceptional brainpower, has been crowned Mr. Bear Thailand 2026 and will represent Thailand in the international competition. According to Thai News Agency, the event, which is the biggest men's beauty pageant in Thailand, was founded by Mr. Wachir Somlim, President of Mr. Bear Organization and holder of the Mr. Bear International 2026 license. The competition, held at the G floor (MBK Avenue activity area), featured 19 contestants from across the country, all of whom underwent rigorous training under the concept of "THE NEW ERA OF GENTLEMEN," aiming to redefine gentlemanliness beyond traditional body types.
The winner, Dr. Jun Bandit Chomkulab, confidently secured the crown in a unanimous decision, accompanied by resounding cheers. He outperformed first runner-up Tong-U Nanthawat Suntorntham, a marketing manager and dance instructor, and second runner-up Brad Brad Chuensoomthong, a former contestant from MasterChef Thailand Season 5.
Dr. Jun expressed his feelings post-victory, stating that although he didn't win any awards the previous year, he was drawn back by the warmth of the community. He emphasized the competition's focus on inner qualities over physical appearance, highlighting the importance of positive energy and diversity. Despite battling neck muscle inflammation, Dr. Jun was determined to give it his all, recognizing the diverse talents of his fellow contestants.
Looking ahead, Dr. Jun is preparing for the Mr. Bear International competition, which will be held during Songkran. He plans to enhance his stage performance, particularly his walk, and intends to maintain a rigorous exercise routine to sharpen his physique. With a limited time to prepare, Dr. Jun is confident that a strong team and thorough preparation will boost their chances of winning the international crown.
