Bangkok: The Department of Special Investigation (DSI) has submitted the Tangmo case file to the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) for further investigation due to potential involvement of government officials in the case. According to Thai News Agency, the DSI delivered 54 files of documents to the NACC for examination, with Mr. Panthep Puapongsak, Mr. Achariya Ruangratanapong, and Mrs. Panida Sirayutthayothin, Tangmo's mother, present.

Mr. Panthep mentioned that the DSI Director-General's decision to forward the case underscores the suspicion of officials' involvement in distorting the truth. The NACC now has 30 days to make a decision, with two options on the table: return the case if deemed not serious or request further investigation. If the DSI finds sufficient evidence, legal actions, including indictment, will follow.

Mrs. Phanida expressed hope that the case resolution is near, expressing her disappointment with those involved in the incident for not fulfilling their promises to care for her mother. She stated that she has cut ties with them, as they have disappeared from her life.

Mr. Achariya discussed his legal challenges, having faced six lawsuits from the police during the four-year battle, with four cases dismissed and two dropped. He remains confident in the evidence presented in the Criminal Court. Additionally, he highlighted the leak of 54 case files to beneficiaries of the scandal, causing concern among implicated civil servants. Mr. Achariya is preparing to submit the case to the NACC, targeting approximately 70 officials and individuals under Articles 157 and 200, which include severe penalties.
