Dubai’s Innovative Plan: Building a 93-Kilometer Air-Conditioned Exercise Tunnel

Dubai: Dubai is preparing to build an air-conditioned exercise tunnel. The city has come up with an innovative idea to combat the extreme heat, planning to build a 93-kilometer-long air-conditioned tunnel for green spaces and exercise areas.

According to Thai News Agency, Dubai is considering building a 93-kilometer network of air-conditioned tunnels to allow people to walk and cycle year-round, even in extreme heat, as part of its vision for sustainable transportation. These tunnels would connect key areas, linking homes, workplaces, schools, and essential services, while maintaining comfortable indoor temperatures, promoting an active and car-free lifestyle.

The plan also includes green spaces, exercise areas, and community zones along the route, powered by renewable energy, with the goal of promoting healthier lifestyles and creating climate-resilient urban designs for the future.
