Eastern Command Enforces Curfew in Sa Kaeo Province Amid Security Concerns

Bangkok: A curfew has been enforced in four districts of Sa Kaeo province, restricting residents from leaving their homes between 7:00 PM and 5:00 AM. The Eastern Command has implemented this directive, which is effective immediately following its announcement.

According to Thai News Agency, the curfew applies to the border districts of Ta Phraya, Khok Sung, Aranyaprathet, and Khlong Hat. This measure has been enacted under the Martial Law Act of 1914, which grants the military authority to maintain stability and security in areas where martial law is declared. This action aims to ensure the safety and peace of residents while protecting the nation’s sovereignty and the lives and property of the Thai people.

The Eastern Command has outlined specific articles to ensure compliance with the curfew. Article 1 prohibits individuals from leaving their homes during the curfew hours in the specified districts. Article 2 permits the implementation of legal measures to enforce strict adherence to the Martial Law Act, including controlling areas, detaining individuals, and conducting searches to prevent unrest or threats to national security. The enforcement of these measures will continue until further notice.
