Bangkok:The government is facilitating travel by adjusting the schedule for eight trains on the Eastern Line due to flooding in several areas, including sections within Bangkok.
According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Ploytalay Laksmisangchan, Deputy Spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, announced that the State Railway of Thailand (SRT) is altering the train schedules to connect public transportation systems and assist passengers. This adjustment follows stable or slightly decreased water levels in affected regions. As of September 29, 2026, the origin and destination for eight trains will change from Bangkok's Hua Lamphong Station to Ban Thap Chang Station.
The morning services for passengers heading to Bangkok will consist of four trains Train No. 372 from Prachinburi to Ban Thap Chang, Train No. 380 from Chachoengsao to Ban Thap Chang, Train No. 384 from Chachoengsao to Ban Thap Chang, and Train No. 388 from Chachoengsao to Ban Thap Chang.
In the evening, passengers departing from Bangkok can utilize four trains Train No. 371 from Ban Thap Chang to Prachinburi, Train No. 379 from Ban Thap Chang to Chachoengsao, Train No. 383 from Ban Thap Chang to Chachoengsao, and Train No. 391 from Ban Thap Chang to Chachoengsao.
The government has instructed the SRT to monitor the situation closely, assess track conditions, and modify train schedules to ensure passenger convenience and safety.
