Ekanit Hints at Meeting to Move Forward with “Half-Half Plus” to Improve Merchants

Bangkok: Ekniti revealed that the Prime Minister will chair a meeting of the Economic Policy Committee this afternoon to move forward with the “Half-Half Plus” project, which aims to improve the skills of merchants in using digital technology to sell their products, boost sales, and reduce costs.

According to Thai News Agency, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Ekniti Nitithanpraphas, stated that this afternoon, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Anutin Charnvirakul, will chair the 3/2025 Economic Policy Committee meeting at the Ministry of Finance. A key agenda item at the meeting will be the progression of the “Half-Half Plus” project, which has proven successful in increasing people’s purchasing power while also promoting economic circulation.

The key point to discuss is the “Plus” initiative, which will build on the original “Half-Half” project by upgrading vendor skills. A portion of the budget will be used to organize online training courses, allowing vendors to learn how to sell through various platforms and learn accounting to determine actual costs, enabling them to plan sales appropriately and in line with the government’s goals for this project.
