Surin: Ekniti held discussions with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce regarding expanding investment in targeted industries in Thailand. Dr. Ekniti Nitithanprapas, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, held a meeting with the US Chamber of Commerce during the 2026 Spring Meetings of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund in Washington, D.C., USA.
According to Thai News Agency, the American Chamber of Commerce, representing the business sector in the United States, plays a crucial role as an intermediary in coordinating economic cooperation and investment, as well as shaping the stance of the American business sector toward various countries, including Thailand.
On this occasion, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance assured representatives of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce that the current Thai government is highly stable and recognizes the importance of cooperation and investment between Thailand and the United States, particularly in upgrading technology and workforce skills in Thailand's industries. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce representatives affirmed the importance of Thailand to U.S. businesses and expressed their desire to expand their investments in Thailand.
