Bangkok: The Election Commission of Thailand held a ceremony to pay respects to Her Majesty the Queen Mother. The ECT office organized this event to express condolences to Her Majesty the Queen Mother, demonstrating loyalty and commemorating her many acts of kindness and benevolence towards the Thai people.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Itthiporn Boonprakong, Chairman of the Election Commission (EC), presided over the ceremony, which was attended by several key figures, including Mr. Santhat Siriananpaiboon, Mr. Lertwiroj Kowattana, Mr. Thitichet Nuchnat, Mr. Chai Nakhonchai, Mr. Sittichot Intharawet, and Mr. Narong Klanwarin, all Election Commission Commissioners. Mr. Saeng Boonmee, Secretary-General of the Election Commission, along with office executives, civil servants, and Election Commission staff, were also present.
During the ceremony, Mr. Itthiphon led the participants in paying respects to the portrait of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother. He delivered a speech of condolence, expressing deep gratitude for Her Majesty’s grace and graciousness. Her Majesty’s royal duties over the decades have significantly benefited the Thai people and the nation, earning her international recognition and admiration.
Her Majesty’s compassion and kindness, likened to that of the Mother of the Land, remain deeply ingrained in the hearts of the Thai people. Participants joined together in expressing their condolences for 93 seconds and signed a book of condolence placed in front of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit’s portrait.
The ceremony was a gesture of loyalty and a commemoration of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother’s dedication to her royal duties, which have greatly contributed to the well-being and happiness of the Thai people.
