Election Commission of Thailand Updates Regulations for 2025 Parliamentary Elections

Bangkok: The Election Commission of Thailand (ECT) has announced new regulations concerning the election of Members of Parliament, specifically Regulation No. 2 for the election of members of the House of Representatives, B.E. 2568 (2025). This regulation has been officially published in the Royal Gazette as of December 19, 2025, and became effective the day after its publication.

According to Thai News Agency, the Election Commission’s updated regulation includes significant changes regarding how candidates for constituency-based elections should submit their biographical information. Previously, candidates were required to record their biography summary on a single CD. However, the updated regulation now instructs candidates to save their personal history summary onto a flash drive or any other data storage device with a USB port.

The Election Commission encourages all interested parties to familiarize themselves with the details of these updated regulations. Comprehensive information is available on the Election Commission’s website, www.ect.go.th, or via a QR code provided for easy access.
