Bangkok: The Election Commission of Thailand (ECT) has announced the results of the lottery for election inspectors to serve in the Bangkok City Council, Bangkok Governor, Pattaya City Council members, and Pattaya Mayor elections. The announcement was made on May 6th and includes comprehensive details about the selected individuals who will oversee the upcoming elections in these regions.
According to Thai News Agency, the ECT has drawn lots to select election inspectors for the provinces of Bangkok and Chonburi. The results reveal the appointment of eight election inspectors for Bangkok, who will serve in the Bangkok Metropolitan Council and Bangkok Governor elections. The selected inspectors include Pol. Lt. Gen. Pichai Jiemburaset, Mr. Pongthep Thithaphan, Maj. Gen. Charas Wadkian, Mr. Prasop Chumsri, Pol. Lt. Col. Suchart Surasatcha, Mr. Teerapong Chanthachart, Col. Niwat Boonpradit, and Mr. Charan Wirassa.
The five election inspectors for Chonburi Province, who are designated to oversee the elections for Pattaya City Council members and the Pattaya Mayor, have also been announced. These inspectors are Lieutenant Colonel Prasong Sonchan, Mr. Surachart Manit, Mr. Thaworn Kulsiri, Mr. Chaiwan Niyom, and Mr. Peerawat Wangratkul.
The ECT will submit the list to the Election Commission for the official appointment of provincial election inspectors. These inspectors are tasked with overseeing the elections for Bangkok Metropolitan Council members, the Governor of Bangkok, Pattaya City Council members, and the Mayor of Pattaya. Their responsibilities will begin on May 23, 2026, and conclude on June 29, 2026, covering a period of 38 days.
