Bangkok: PTT Oil and Retail Public Company Limited (OR) has been recognized for its commitment to sustainability by being selected as a member of the Dow Jones Best in Class Indices (DJ BIC) for 2026 in the Emerging Markets Index group. This marks a significant achievement for OR, as it continues to demonstrate leadership in sustainable business practices.
According to Thai News Agency, M.L. Piktong Thongyai, CEO of OR, announced that the company was chosen by S and P Global to join the prestigious Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJ BIC), previously known as the DJSI. OR's inclusion was based on its outstanding performance in the Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) conducted by S and P Global in the Retailing sector. This accolade represents the third consecutive year that OR has been recognized as a member of the index, highlighting its consistent dedication to sustainability.
The company's selection reflects its ongoing efforts to integrate sustainable practices across all aspects of its business. OR is focused on developing energy and retail infrastructure that meets consumer needs while simultaneously creating value for society and the environment. A key component of OR's strategy is the expansion of its electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure network, supporting the transition to clean energy and ensuring long-term growth. Additionally, OR is actively contributing to society through initiatives like the Thai Ded project, which assists over 500 local entrepreneurs and community enterprises by providing them with sales channels via OR's service station network. Another notable initiative is the Caf© Amazon for Chance project, which offers employment opportunities to individuals with disabilities and disadvantaged backgrounds, fostering job creation, income, and sustainable self-reliance.
