Klong prem central prison: Ms. Pinthongtha Shinawatra Kunakornwong, known as Aim, and Mr. Pitak Suksawat, or Por, visited former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, representing their family. Before the visit, they acknowledged supporters from the Red Shirts who had gathered at the prison. The visit, arranged by Mr. Winyat Chatmontri, Thaksin’s personal lawyer, lasted nearly an hour.
According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Pinthongtha noted that the visit coincided with Thaksin’s completion of a three-month prison term, with no significant changes in his situation. She expressed gratitude to the public and supporters for their unwavering support of the family. During the visit, she presented two Dhamma books to her father to aid his meditation while incarcerated.
Mr. Winyat disclosed that he refrained from speaking with Thaksin to allow family members ample time with him. He also mentioned having no new information regarding the Appeals Court’s directive to appeal the Section 112 case within 15 days.
