Ubon ratchathani: More than 50 bedridden patients have been evacuated from Nam Yuen District to a safe location at the Det Udom Field Hospital, where they are being closely monitored by a team of doctors.
According to Thai News Agency, officials were notified at noon on July 24 to commence the setup of an emergency field hospital as ordered by the district chief. This initiative is part of an evacuation plan for those residing near the border to relocate to a safer area.
Ban Kham Charoen School in Det Udom District has been transformed into a field hospital specifically for bedridden patients. The facility is staffed with a team of doctors who provide close care, supported by student volunteers offering initial assistance. Currently, there are 50 field beds available, but the number is anticipated to grow as more bedridden patients, primarily elderly individuals unable to assist themselves, continue to arrive. Relatives are staying close to provide additional support.
