Suai go-lok: The Suai Go-lok railway station resumed operations today with the dispatch of the first train on route 452 heading to Nakhon Si Thammarat, marking the completion of essential repairs following damage caused by an explosion.

According to Thai News Agency, the stationmaster, Mr. Wasan Chanloy, announced that the railway tracks between Maruebo and Tanyongmas stations in Narathiwat Province suffered damage from an explosion on August 22, 2026. The blast affected the concrete sleepers, prompting the State Railway of Thailand to suspend train services temporarily to ensure the safety of both passengers and staff.

Security officials, alongside explosive ordnance disposal teams, conducted thorough safety checks before allowing repairs to commence. The State Railway of Thailand deployed teams promptly to address the damage, ensuring the completion of repairs by 4:00 PM on August 24, 2026. With the successful completion of these repairs, regular train services resumed today, with the first train departing at 9:00 AM.

For passengers impacted by the disruptions on August 23-24, 2026, full refunds are available at Suai Ko-lok Railway Station or any nearby station. Passengers who purchased tickets via credit card can also apply for refunds, which will be processed within approximately 45 days.
