King Prajadhipok Institute Students Rally Behind Secretary-General Amid Allegations

Bangkok: Students from the 30th class of the King Prajadhipok Institute have publicly declared their support for the Secretary-General of the Institute. More than one hundred students from the Public Administration Program issued a statement emphasizing their confidence in the Secretary-General and the necessity for allegations to be substantiated with facts to protect the program's reputation.

According to Thai News Agency, the students expressed their support in light of allegations that the Secretary-General was involved in accepting bribes or benefits for admission into the program. The statement, endorsed by individuals from various sectors such as provincial governors, directors-general, senior government officials, high-ranking military and police officers, senators, members of parliament, academics, media representatives, and private sector leaders, emphasized the integrity of the admission process. Signatories represented all 10 student groups within the program.

The students clarified that during the application and selection process for the PPA 30 program, they did not engage in any form of bribery or benefit exchange, nor were they solicited for such actions. They called for a thorough, transparent, and fair investigation to establish the truth. Additionally, they urged that any dissemination of the allegations be factual and evidence-based, cautioning against premature conclusions of guilt for any individual or organization before the investigation concludes.

The statement highlighted the students' pride in their opportunity to study at the King Prajadhipok Institute and their collective commitment to uphold the standards and reputation of the program and the institute. The students reaffirmed their confidence in the Secretary-General's dedication to a comprehensive investigation to preserve the institute's transparency and integrity.
