According to Thai News Agency, this morning in Trang Province, sunlight was seen for the first time in eight days after continuous rain, bringing reassurance to residents. Meanwhile, flooding in Yan Ta Khao Subdistrict Municipality, Yan Ta Khao District, has receded by approximately 50-70 centimeters, except for low-lying areas along canals, where water levels remain over a meter high. Rescue workers have arrived to rescue four people trapped inside their homes, with food and water running low. One person, including one with a chronic illness, was also inside. Officials had to rappel down the ropes and crawl under the roof of the lower floor of the house, attempting to free them with great difficulty.
Meanwhile, a group of young volunteers brought their traditional fishing boats, Pleas, to help those affected by the disaster. They delivered lunch boxes and relief bags to villagers living on the second floor or in areas where large flat-bottomed boats could not reach. This marked the first time in 15 years that Pleas, which are normally used at sea, have been used in freshwater.
