Bangkok: The Office of the Basic Education Commission (OBEC) launched free TGAT/TPAT tutoring on the first day, receiving an overwhelming response. Mathayom 6 students from all over the country participated enthusiastically.
According to Thai News Agency, on December 8, 2015, the Office of the Basic Education Commission (OBEC) officially launched the “Knowledge Box to Happiness” activity. The first day was lively, with many Mathayom 6 students from across the country participating in intensive online TGAT/TPAT preparation. Mr. Pichet Phophakdee, Secretary-General of OBEC, presided over the opening ceremony and delivered an inspirational speech. Mr. Wisanu Trabsombat, Deputy Secretary-General of OBEC, also joined in welcoming the participants to boost their morale.
Mr. Pichet stated that this activity aligns with the policy of the Minister of Education, Professor Dr. Narumon Pinyosinwat, which emphasizes active learning, encouraging students to think, act, and learn with joy. The Office of the Basic Education Commission (OBEC) has therefore continuously organized TGAT/TPAT tutoring to ensure that all students have an equal opportunity to prepare for the exams and advance to university, aligning with their interests and aptitudes.
“The OBEC has carefully selected expert tutors and teachers to fully equip students with the necessary knowledge. We believe the knowledge gained will spark understanding and boost confidence in the exam. We encourage students to attend all four days, as the classes are free, easily accessible, and available for replays. This is especially true for those affected by the floods in the South,” the OBEC Secretary-General said. He also encouraged students to focus, practice thinking, practice taking exams, and take care of their health in preparation for the exam.
Tutoring activities will be held on December 8-9 and 11-12, 2025, via the OBEC Channel YouTube channel and the OBEC Facebook page. Meanwhile, the TCAS has scheduled the TGAT/TPAT exams for December 13-15, 2025. However, for flood-affected areas in Songkhla, Yala, and Narathiwat provinces, the exams have been postponed to January 17-19, 2026. Exam review and announcement of results via the TCAS system are still expected to be completed by February 13, 2026, as originally scheduled, to ensure fair and timely selection for students in all areas.
