Bangkok: The Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) collaborates with 11 partner organizations to advance Thai innovation at the "Thailand Synergy for Thai SMEs towards IDEs" event and the "7 Innovation Awards 2026" ceremony.
According to Thai News Agency, the event took place on July 24, 2026, at the PIM Convention Hall, Panyapiwat Institute of Management. Mrs. Pimjai Leeissaranukul, President of the FTI, alongside Mr. Narongrit Panichcheewa, Vice President and Head of Member Relations of the FTI, participated in the event aimed at enhancing Thai SMEs' and startups' capabilities in innovation and commercialization.
The FTI, in collaboration with 11 other public and private sector partners, is spearheading a national initiative to foster innovation among Thai SMEs and startups. The initiative's goal is to enable these businesses to develop products and innovations that enhance competitiveness and support sustainable growth.
The event featured Professor Dr. Yotsanun Wongsawat, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, who delivered a lecture on "Thailand Innovation Synergy: Combining Research, Technology, and Innovation to Drive Thai SMEs towards IDEs." His presence underscored the importance of integrating research and technology to propel Thai SMEs forward.
The 7th Innovation Awards 2026 recognized 31 innovations from across Thailand, highlighting the creativity and competitive potential of the Thai industrial sector. FTI member businesses were among the recipients, showcasing their ability to produce competitive innovations on a national scale. The event also provided a platform for FTI members to exhibit and sell their innovative products, featuring over 90 winning entries from past and present, thereby facilitating business development and market expansion.
