Bangkok: PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited (GC) received an outstanding award for energy conservation in the controlled factory category at the Thailand Energy Awards 2024, organized by the Department of Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency (DEDE). This recognizes GC’s efforts in steering its business towards a low-carbon society.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Saroj Phutthammawong, Chief Operating Officer of the Value-Added Chemical Products Business Group, represented GC in accepting the award from Mr. Atthapol Rerkpipibun, Minister of Energy. The award was given for the energy conservation performance of ‘PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited Branch 11 (LDPE Plant)’. This accolade highlights the company’s capacity in enhancing knowledge and developing energy innovations to international standards, which supports Thailand’s transition towards a low-carbon economy and aligns with the national goal of achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.
