According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Airin Phanrit, Deputy Spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, announced that the Department of Employment, Ministry of Labour, is aiming to promote employment, jobs, and income for people of all ages. They are developing a "Freelance Worker" platform designed to be a modern and user-friendly online hub for freelance jobs and services. This platform caters to employers seeking workers, freelancers, employees seeking supplementary income, and unemployed individuals with skills in various areas such as video production and editing, product reviews, handicrafts, cooking, and sewing.
Ms. Airin mentioned that the "Freelance Workers" platform provides opportunities for employers and freelancers to directly contact, discuss, and negotiate employment without any fees. Job openings are updated regularly. All users are required to verify their identity through the ThaID application to enhance credibility and security. Users can also rate and review employment opportunities, which is beneficial for other users in making decisions.
The platform offers a variety of professions, categorized into ten main job categories, including Graphic and Design, Marketing and Advertising, Typing/Writing/Translation, Audio and Video, Web and Programming, Consulting and Advisory, Service Provision, Custom Product and Food Delivery, On-site Repair and Maintenance, and Tutoring in various subjects or skills. This setup allows individuals to utilize their knowledge, skills, and abilities to create jobs, careers, and income, increasing employment opportunities and connecting employers with skilled workers. Freelancers can access the platform via the website "FreelanceWorkers.doe.go.th" or the "Freelance Workers" application.
For freelancers interested in promoting their work, registration and identity verification are required. They can showcase their work and post project details on the "Freelance Workers" platform. Employers can register as employers, search for suitable clients, discuss project details, and send electronic quotations via the system's chat. Both parties can then rate and review each other through the platform's online system.
