According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Ratchada Thanadirek, spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, addressed the hasty interpretations circulating on social media suggesting that the US aircraft carrier's visit to Thailand in early September represented Thailand's taking sides. She clarified that the visit was a routine port visit under the ongoing defense cooperation framework between Thailand and the United States, and therefore had nothing to do with Thailand taking a stance or choosing sides in any conflict. She emphasized that Thailand remains committed to a balanced foreign policy, maintaining good relations with all countries, and prioritizing peace and stability in the region.

'Please do not interpret the aircraft carrier's stopover as a statement of Thailand's stance or affiliation in any conflict. The government is clear in its approach to international relations. We do not take sides, but rather choose to create opportunities from relationships that benefit the Thai people. We are a trusted international ally, ready to cooperate based on Thailand's best interests and without taking advantage of anyone. We do not become part of any conflict while focusing on supporting peace in all areas,' Ms. Ratchada said.
