Hat yai: Hat Yai residents flocked to welcome Abhisit Vejjajiva, leader of the Democrat Party, at the Pho Phrom Sunday Market in Songkhla Province, causing the market to nearly burst with excitement.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Abhisit visited the market at the invitation of Mr. Juri Numkaew, deputy leader of the Democrat Party, to engage with locals and listen to their concerns. Upon his arrival, a large crowd of residents who had been shopping at the market lined up to greet him, with some waiting as early as 7:30 a.m. The atmosphere was vibrant, with residents offering flowers and requesting photos, highlighting the ongoing interest and affection for the Democrat Party leader.

The visit underscored the strong local support for the party, as residents affectionately referred to Abhisit as “Prime Minister,” expressing nostalgia and fondness for his previous tenure.
