Heartbroken Parents Hold Combined Funeral and Ordination Ceremony for Slain Son

Nakhon sawan: The heartbroken parents of Mr. Jesadaporn, also known as Film, held a unique funeral and ordination ceremony after his tragic death. Parents cremated their son's body after he was shot dead and held a Buddhist ordination ceremony for his remains amidst the grief of those attending. They revealed that invitations for the ordination ceremony had already been sent out and extended to all relatives.

According to Thai News Agency, the case involved two assailants who used a firearm to kill 19-year-old Mr. Jesadaporn near the entrance to Ban Mai Nong Luang, Soi 1, Nong Luang Subdistrict, Tha Tako District, Nakhon Sawan Province. The incident occurred in the late hours of February 17th, and the police have since arrested both perpetrators and are prosecuting them according to the law.

Today, Mr. Nopporn and Mrs. Somporn Grankla, the parents of the deceased, held a cremation ceremony at Wat Nong Luang amidst a sorrowful atmosphere. This ceremony was unique because the parents combined the cremation with a Buddhist ordination ceremony for their son. The procession, including the coffin, robes, and other monastic necessities, circled the crematorium like a typical ordination ceremony, but this time around the crematorium itself.

Mr. Nopporn, in a tearful interview, said he was deeply saddened because his son was originally scheduled to graduate on March 6th and, more importantly, was to be ordained as a monk on March 7th to repay his parents' kindness, but was tragically shot and killed. He added that he had already distributed invitations for the ordination ceremony and invited all relatives to attend.
