Surin: A thief broke into a donation box at a souvenir center in Surin and stole over 60,000 baht. The store reported it to the police and is tracking down the culprit for prosecution.
According to Thai News Agency, a security camera captured the thief breaking into donation boxes at the Surin souvenir center, Tao Saren 5 Star. The thief stole money from four donation boxes that the store was going to donate to Wat Klang Surin, totaling more than 50,000 baht, before walking over to break into the cashier’s desk and stealing another 10,000 baht. The store initially filed a complaint at Prasat Police Station, Prasat District, Surin Province, to track down the thief and bring him to justice.
The perpetrator was a man wearing a long-sleeved shirt with a hood and a mask covering his face. The incident occurred at approximately 9:20 p.m. It is believed that he had previously scouted the area because he knew the cash collection point very well.
