Bangkok: The president of the Thai volleyball team confirmed that the Huamark Volleyball Stadium is ready for the SEA Games. The stadium has been prepared to accommodate the 2025 SEA Games, with the volleyball court at In Stadium Huamark meeting all necessary surface and technical requirements, following its recent role as host for the World Championships.
According to Thai News Agency, Somporn Usibangyang, president of the Volleyball Association of Thailand, discussed the preparedness of the indoor volleyball competition at the 33rd SEA Games. He mentioned that the official list of athletes will be revealed tomorrow, December 7th, by the Volleyball Association of Thailand. Usibangyang assured that the organization of the indoor volleyball competition at the Huamark Indoor Stadium in Bangkok will proceed without technical issues, having successfully hosted the women’s volleyball world championship in August and September.
On the evening of December 5th, the stadium’s playing field was completely paved. LED lighting installation is scheduled for today, along with decorating signs for various rooms, including athletes’ quarters and offices for officials and media. Confidence is high that the volleyball field is ready for the upcoming SEA Games.
The indoor volleyball competition for the SEA Games is set to commence on December 10th. The first match in the women’s group B will feature Indonesia against Malaysia, with Thailand competing in group A. The third match will see Thailand facing Singapore at 5:30 p.m.
