Nakhon ratchasima: Hundreds of devotees flocked to Wat Chaeng Nai in Nakhon Ratchasima Province on September 9th to partake in a sacred water-blessing ceremony, seeking blessings, morale boosts, and a fresh start in life. The temple offered the sacred ceremony, which is believed to enhance good fortune, free of charge. Participants brought their motorcycles, cars, and vans to be blessed, hoping for good luck and safe journeys.

According to Thai News Agency, the atmosphere at Wat Chaeng Nai was lively as people converged from both within and near the province. Vehicle owners believed that having their vehicles blessed on this auspicious day would bring good fortune, ensuring protection from harm. Attendees also took the opportunity to pay respects and offer prayers to "Luang Pho Chaeng," a revered figure associated with the temple, inside the main chapel.

Phra Kru Woranayok Sitthakom, Phra Ajarn Maha Tor, the acting abbot of Wat Chaeng Nai, led the sacred ceremony using holy water from nine renowned temples. The ceremony aimed to revoke vows and ward off negativity, aligning with the believers' faith in the symbolism of the number 9, which represents progress and prosperity. The abbot emphasized the importance of good intentions, mindfulness, and applying Buddhist principles to life, stating that the ritual helps boost morale and confidence for participants.

After the ceremony, many attendees visited lottery stalls in search of tickets ending in the number 9, inspired by the date's symbolism. These tickets were in high demand and sold out quickly, reflecting the significance placed on the auspicious "9/9" date by the participants.
